# General Windows Performance Tuning
1. Defragmentation
2. Hig-Performance power option
3. Disable WinSAT
4. Disable unused ports. such as COM1, COM2 and LPT. Delete them if they are not needed.
5. Disable the Indexing Service Component (수동 설정)
6. Basic theme
7. Set the background to a solid color
8. Set the screen saver to None
9. Verify that full hardware acceleration is enabled
10. Do not specify a sleep timer, standby, hibernation, or any other power option that might make the desktop unreachable.
11. Remove minimize system restore points.
12. Turn off system protection on
13. Turn off automatic computer maintenance.
14. Delete hidden uninstall folders in C:\Windows.
15. Open Windows Media Player and use the default settings.
16. Delete all event logs.
17. Delete all hidden update folders except $hf_mig$
18. Disable paging of the Windows operation system itself
19. Remove Microsoft Messenger.
20. Turn off disk performance counters (diskperf -N)
21. Run Disk Cleanup to remove temporary files, empty the Recycle Bin, and remove other unneeded files.
